Stanedge Grange

Welcome to our butchery and farm shop established in 2012, what an exciting time we have had. Nestled in the heart of the Peaks lies this little gem.

It is without doubt a foodies haven rearing Belted Galloway Cattle, and Limestone lamb for the artisan butchery. All the meats are skilfully prepared by lifelong Master Butcher Michael Shirt, he is assisted by his very capable newly qualified butcher James Bunting, who Michael says is a one off in the youth of today he has the passion and commitment needed for the meat industry.

Between them they can boast nearly 60 years of experience. Since James joined the team after finishing his GCSE’s in 2017 he has achieved his level 2 and level 3 qualifications in Retail Butchery with distinction.

Hartington Creamery

Our cheese range is handmade at our creamery based at the historic Pikehall Farm, using milk from the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. As the only Derbyshire based and smallest Stilton producer in the world, our cheese is handmade and graded by our own experienced artisan cheesemakers. All of our Cheese is VegSoc Approved suitable for vegetarians.

Barn Close Farm

We are a small traditional family farm in Monyash village in the beautiful Peak District. We rear our own sheep and beef cows. We have a farm shop selling our traditionally reared grass fed meat alongside other local produce. Open Everyday 7.30am -7.30pm
